PEPS stands for Plumas~ Eureka Preservation Society, a non-profit organization, dedicated to preserving and enhancing the physical environment and beauty of our community.
Artist and Founder of PEPS,
of the Enduring Freedom Garden
PEPS began with 12 members in January 1999 who believed that neighbors should work together to preserve the natural beauty of their Sierra Nevada community. Today, the membership has grown to over 200 residents and property owners in the Plumas-Eureka Estates, Eureka Springs, and The Village at Plumas Pines communities.
In 2000, PEPS was honored as a recipient of the Keep California Beautiful Outstanding Beautification and Forestry Award for a community group in a rural area. PEPS was singled out for its outstanding efforts in beautifying the community through a number of projects. Today, these projects have grown to include the creation of three beautiful community gardens, refurbishing bus stops, keeping neighborhoods clear of pine cones and pine needles and providing pet waste bag dispensers throughout the community.

Thanks to the members and generous donations of many, we can continue to achieve our goals to beautify our community. For more details about the Membership Drive, click on the form below...
For the past 9 years, PEPS has sponsored a Pine Needle Pick Up project in June to help neighbors clear away their pine needles in an effort to reduce fire hazards of burning, improve air quality with a smoke-free environment and beautify the community.
Every Memorial Day weekend, rain or shine, PEPS sponsors a plant sale. You can choose from a variety of plants thinned and divided from our PEPS gardens. You can be assured the plants are acclimated to this climate.
Firehouse Christmas
Tree Lighting
This is our Fall event and Member Update that brings a lot of people together before cold the winter months.
Each Christmas season, we decorate the Plumas-Eureka Firehouse Memorial Garden with colorful lights. On this special night, we invite the community to help us kick of the season by a visit from Santa, caroling, hot cocoa and a Christmas Tree Lighting ceremony at the Firehouse.
